23rd Saturday, The City of Palm Bay - Earth Day/Arbor Day celebration

in conjunction with Turkey Creek, Utilities, Parks and Public Works. They incorporate a trash bash, Hook-A-Kid on Fishing, tree give away etc.

10am – 3pm, Enchanted Forest. Titusville. Guest of all ages are invited to celebrate Earth Day at the Enchanted Forest Sanctuary! Explore environmental exhibitors, guided walks, meet live animals, listen to special guest presentations, discover local flora and fauna and conservation techniques with hands-on activities, enjoy live music, and more! 23rd Saturday, EcoFest Tampa Bay

Free Family event!

EcoFest 2016 is a community event organized by Learning Gate Community School, the City of Tampa and the USF Patel College of Global Sustainability to celebrate the many businesses, organizations, and individuals in the Tampa Bay area dedicated to the principles of sustainability – Ecology, Equity and Economy.

Our 7th Annual EcoFest will be held on Saturday, April 23rd at the Lowry Park bandshell area – 7525 N. Boulevard, Tampa, Florida 33604 . The event will be open to the public from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM . Admission to the event is free .

There will be live music, workshops, demonstrations, informational booths, green living products and services. Some local artists, green businesses, environmental organizations, alternative health practitioners, renewable energy specialists, organic farms and gardens with produce will be in attendance.

Earth Day events around Florida

The first Earth Day was founded by U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson in 1970. It was designed to inspire awareness and appreciation for the earth’s environment.

All dates unless otherwise noted are in the month of April.

16th Saturday, Making smart choices with solar energy, Satellite Beach

9:30-11:00 Two parts to this informative series.

1) PACE with Solar energy seminar. Making clean energy, energy efficiency and storm proofing more affordable through PACE funding.

2) Dr. Ross McCluney on homeowner considerations for going with solar energy.

Another speaker will give a sneak preview on the oyster matt program to help heal the Indian River and Banana River.

Washington Oaks State Park, from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Activities for the whole family will be offered, including live entertainment, prize drawings, arts and crafts vendors, and plenty of food and drink. Several environmental groups will be on hand to provide educational displays and talks. There will be a special children's section this year, as well a Wild About Birds presentation, butterfly walks, and the results of the Friends of Washington Oaks Photo Contest on display.
